The Beach Walkers Book Club started out as a group of women walking together to keep in shape out on Alligator Point.  Enjoying their camaraderie, they formed a bookclub.  

Margaret Howard Trammel, author, dance enthusiast and animal lover, along with others, met once a month, discussing a book chosen by the hostess.  A potluck lunch, often taken from the theme of the book, would be served and enjoyed.  Good food, lively discussion would ensue.  

We have read a variety of authors such as Octavia Butler, Ernest Hemingway, Robin Kimmerer, and Liane Moriarty.   Bayside Villas residents, Toni Courtier, Carol Coddington, Diane Reitz and Kate Matthews, love being a part of this wonderful group and invite other readers to join us. In recent days, the bookclub has been meeting the third Thursday of each month in our Bayside Villas’ clubhouse.  The next meeting will take place at a member’s home.
